GateHouse Logistics Sponsoring 3PL and Supply Chain Summit Chicago

Press Release

Will discuss Magna JIS freight visibility project with US industry leaders at break out session

Marking the beginning of its American project, logistics data unifier GateHouse Logistics A/S today announces that it has become a sponsor of  the upcoming 3PL and Supply Chain Summit being staged June 14-16, 2017 in Chicago.

The firm’s CEO, Jesper Bennike, will also host a break out session to discuss with delegates the goals and developments of its pioneering just-in-sequence (JIS) logistics program with automotive contract manufacturing giant Magna.

The Magna program is one of the most ambitious projects yet seen in automotive manufacturing. In mid-2016, GateHouse Logistics entered into a joint agreement last year with Magna International to set up a Long Distance Just-in-Sequence (LD-JIS) tracking solution for new vehicle programs at Magna’s Steyr facility in Graz, Austria.

Over 700 senior supply chain and logistics executives are expected to attend the Chicago Summit. Billed as one of the most crucial meetings in the industry calendar where 3PL providers and customers meet to discuss the future direction of logistics, the era of smart factories fuelled by Industry 4.0 technology and GateHouse’s pioneering Magna program  is likely to be one of the central themes.
